בִּשְׁנַ֤ת the beesh-NAHT שְׁתַּ֙יִם֙ second sheh-TA-YEEM לְדָרְיָ֣וֶשׁ year leh-dore-YA-vesh הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ of ha-MEH-lek בַּחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ Darius ba-HOH-DESH הַשִּׁשִּׁ֔י the ha-shee-SHEE בְּי֥וֹם king, beh-YOME אֶחָ֖ד in eh-HAHD לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ the la-HOH-desh הָיָ֨ה sixth ha-YA דְבַר month, deh-VAHR יְהוָ֜ה in yeh-VA בְּיַד the beh-YAHD חַגַּ֣י first ha-ɡAI הַנָּבִ֗יא day ha-na-VEE אֶל of el זְרֻבָּבֶ֤ל the zeh-roo-ba-VEL בֶּן month, ben שְׁאַלְתִּיאֵל֙ came sheh-al-tee-ALE פַּחַ֣ת the pa-HAHT יְהוּדָ֔ה word yeh-hoo-DA וְאֶל of veh-EL יְהוֹשֻׁ֧עַ the yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah בֶּן Lord ben יְהוֹצָדָ֛ק by yeh-hoh-tsa-DAHK הַכֹּהֵ֥ן Haggai ha-koh-HANE הַגָּד֖וֹל the ha-ɡa-DOLE לֵאמֹֽר׃ prophet lay-MORE -
כֹּ֥ה speaketh koh אָמַ֛ר the ah-MAHR יְהוָ֥ה Lord yeh-VA צְבָא֖וֹת of tseh-va-OTE לֵאמֹ֑ר hosts, lay-MORE הָעָ֤ם saying, ha-AM הַזֶּה֙ This ha-ZEH אָֽמְר֔וּ people ah-meh-ROO לֹ֥א say, loh עֶת The et בֹּ֛א time boh עֶת is et בֵּ֥ית not bate יְהוָ֖ה come, yeh-VA לְהִבָּנֽוֹת׃ the leh-hee-ba-NOTE -
וַֽיְהִי֙ came va-HEE דְּבַר the deh-VAHR יְהוָ֔ה word yeh-VA בְּיַד of beh-YAHD חַגַּ֥י the ha-ɡAI הַנָּבִ֖יא Lord ha-na-VEE לֵאמֹֽר׃ by lay-MORE -
הַעֵ֤ת it ha-ATE לָכֶם֙ time la-HEM אַתֶּ֔ם for ah-TEM לָשֶׁ֖בֶת you, la-SHEH-vet בְּבָתֵּיכֶ֣ם O beh-voh-tay-HEM סְפוּנִ֑ים ye, seh-foo-NEEM וְהַבַּ֥יִת to veh-ha-BA-yeet הַזֶּ֖ה dwell ha-ZEH חָרֵֽב׃ in ha-RAVE -
וְעַתָּ֕ה therefore veh-ah-TA כֹּ֥ה thus koh אָמַ֖ר saith ah-MAHR יְהוָ֣ה the yeh-VA צְבָא֑וֹת Lord tseh-va-OTE שִׂ֥ימוּ of SEE-moo לְבַבְכֶ֖ם hosts; leh-vahv-HEM עַל Consider al דַּרְכֵיכֶֽם׃ dahr-hay-HEM -
זְרַעְתֶּ֨ם have zeh-ra-TEM הַרְבֵּ֜ה sown hahr-BAY וְהָבֵ֣א much, veh-ha-VAY מְעָ֗ט and meh-AT אָכ֤וֹל bring ah-HOLE וְאֵין in veh-ANE לְשָׂבְעָה֙ little; leh-sove-AH שָׁת֣וֹ ye sha-TOH וְאֵין eat, veh-ANE לְשָׁכְרָ֔ה but leh-shoke-RA לָב֖וֹשׁ ye la-VOHSH וְאֵין have veh-ANE לְחֹ֣ם not leh-HOME ל֑וֹ enough; loh וְהַ֨מִּשְׂתַּכֵּ֔ר veh-HA-mees-ta-KARE מִשְׂתַּכֵּ֖ר ye mees-ta-KARE אֶל drink, el צְר֥וֹר but tseh-RORE נָקֽוּב׃ ye na-KOOV -
כֹּ֥ה saith koh אָמַ֖ר the ah-MAHR יְהוָ֣ה Lord yeh-VA צְבָא֑וֹת of tseh-va-OTE שִׂ֥ימוּ hosts; SEE-moo לְבַבְכֶ֖ם Consider leh-vahv-HEM עַל al דַּרְכֵיכֶֽם׃ your dahr-hay-HEM -
עֲל֥וּ up uh-LOO הָהָ֛ר to ha-HAHR וַהֲבֵאתֶ֥ם the va-huh-vay-TEM עֵ֖ץ mountain, ayts וּבְנ֣וּ and oo-veh-NOO הַבָּ֑יִת bring ha-BA-yeet וְאֶרְצֶה wood, veh-er-TSEH בּ֥וֹ and boh וְאֶכָּבְדָ֖ build veh-eh-kove-DA אָמַ֥ר the ah-MAHR יְהוָֽה׃ house; yeh-VA -
פָּנֹ֤ה looked pa-NOH אֶל for el הַרְבֵּה֙ much, hahr-BAY וְהִנֵּ֣ה and, veh-hee-NAY לִמְעָ֔ט lo, leem-AT וַהֲבֵאתֶ֥ם it va-huh-vay-TEM הַבַּ֖יִת came ha-BA-yeet וְנָפַ֣חְתִּי to veh-na-FAHK-tee ב֑וֹ little; voh יַ֣עַן and YA-an מֶ֗ה when meh נְאֻם֙ ye neh-OOM יְהוָ֣ה brought yeh-VA צְבָא֔וֹת it tseh-va-OTE יַ֗עַן home, YA-an בֵּיתִי֙ I bay-TEE אֲשֶׁר did uh-SHER ה֣וּא blow hoo חָרֵ֔ב upon ha-RAVE וְאַתֶּ֥ם it. veh-ah-TEM רָצִ֖ים Why? ra-TSEEM אִ֥ישׁ eesh לְבֵיתֽוֹ׃ saith leh-vay-TOH -
עַל al כֵּ֣ן the kane עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם heaven uh-lay-HEM כָּלְא֥וּ over kole-OO שָׁמַ֖יִם you sha-MA-yeem מִטָּ֑ל is mee-TAHL וְהָאָ֖רֶץ stayed veh-ha-AH-rets כָּלְאָ֥ה from kole-AH יְבוּלָֽהּ׃ dew, yeh-voo-LA -
וָאֶקְרָ֨א I va-ek-RA חֹ֜רֶב called HOH-rev עַל for al הָאָ֣רֶץ a ha-AH-rets וְעַל drought veh-AL הֶהָרִ֗ים upon heh-ha-REEM וְעַל the veh-AL הַדָּגָן֙ land, ha-da-ɡAHN וְעַל and veh-AL הַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ upon ha-tee-ROHSH וְעַל the veh-AL הַיִּצְהָ֔ר mountains, ha-yeets-HAHR וְעַ֛ל and veh-AL אֲשֶׁ֥ר upon uh-SHER תּוֹצִ֖יא the toh-TSEE הָאֲדָמָ֑ה corn, ha-uh-da-MA וְעַל and veh-AL הָֽאָדָם֙ upon ha-ah-DAHM וְעַל the veh-AL הַבְּהֵמָ֔ה new ha-beh-hay-MA וְעַ֖ל wine, veh-AL כָּל and kahl יְגִ֥יעַ upon yeh-ɡEE-ah כַּפָּֽיִם׃ the ka-PA-yeem -
וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע Zerubbabel va-yeesh-MA זְרֻבָּבֶ֣ל׀ the zeh-roo-ba-VEL בֶּֽן son ben שַׁלְתִּיאֵ֡ל of shahl-tee-ALE וִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ Shealtiel, vee-hoh-SHOO-ah בֶּן and ben יְהוֹצָדָק֩ Joshua yeh-hoh-tsa-DAHK הַכֹּהֵ֨ן the ha-koh-HANE הַגָּד֜וֹל son ha-ɡa-DOLE וְכֹ֣ל׀ of veh-HOLE שְׁאֵרִ֣ית Josedech, sheh-ay-REET הָעָ֗ם the ha-AM בְּקוֹל֙ high beh-KOLE יְהוָ֣ה priest, yeh-VA אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֔ם with ay-loh-hay-HEM וְעַל all veh-AL דִּבְרֵי֙ the deev-RAY חַגַּ֣י remnant ha-ɡAI הַנָּבִ֔יא of ha-na-VEE כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר the ka-uh-SHER שְׁלָח֖וֹ people, sheh-la-HOH יְהוָ֣ה obeyed yeh-VA אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם the ay-loh-hay-HEM וַיִּֽירְא֥וּ voice va-yee-reh-OO הָעָ֖ם of ha-AM מִפְּנֵ֥י the mee-peh-NAY יְהוָֽה׃ Lord yeh-VA -
וַ֠יֹּאמֶר spake VA-yoh-mer חַגַּ֞י Haggai ha-ɡAI מַלְאַ֧ךְ the mahl-AK יְהוָ֛ה Lord's yeh-VA בְּמַלְאֲכ֥וּת messenger beh-mahl-uh-HOOT יְהוָ֖ה in yeh-VA לָעָ֣ם the la-AM לֵאמֹ֑ר Lord's lay-MORE אֲנִ֥י message uh-NEE אִתְּכֶ֖ם unto ee-teh-HEM נְאֻם the neh-OOM יְהוָֽה׃ people, yeh-VA -
