પછી નગરની દીવાલમાં એક બાકોરું પાડવામાં આવ્યું, અને રાતોરાત રાજા પોતાના આખા સૈન્ય સાથે રાજાના બગીચા પાસે આવેલા બે દીવાલો વચ્ચેના દરવાજેથી ભાગી ગયો, આમ બન્યું તે દરમ્યાન ખાલદીઓએ નગરને ઘેરી લીધું હતું તેમ છતાં તેઓ યર્દનની ખીણ તરફ આગળ વધ્યા.
