ભાગળો પર જે લોકોએ આ વાત સાંભળી તે બધા હમોર અને શખેમ સાથે સંમત થઇ ગયા અને શહેરના બધા વડીલોએ હમોર અને તેના પુત્ર શખેમની વાત સ્વીકારી, અને સર્વ પુરુષોની સુન્નત કરાવવામાં આવી.

And unto	וַיִּשְׁמְע֤וּ	wayyišmĕʿû	va-yeesh-meh-OO
Hamor	אֶל	ʾel	el
and unto	חֲמוֹר֙	ḥămôr	huh-MORE
Shechem	וְאֶל	wĕʾel	veh-EL
his son	שְׁכֶ֣ם	šĕkem	sheh-HEM
hearkened	בְּנ֔וֹ	bĕnô	beh-NOH
all	כָּל	kāl	kahl
that went out	יֹֽצְאֵ֖י	yōṣĕʾê	yoh-tseh-A
of the gate	שַׁ֣עַר	šaʿar	SHA-ar
city; his of	עִיר֑וֹ	ʿîrô	ee-ROH
and every	וַיִּמֹּ֙לוּ֙	wayyimmōlû	va-yee-MOH-LOO
male	כָּל	kāl	kahl
was circumcised,	זָכָ֔ר	zākār	za-HAHR
all	כָּל	kāl	kahl
out went that	יֹֽצְאֵ֖י	yōṣĕʾê	yoh-tseh-A
of the gate	שַׁ֥עַר	šaʿar	SHA-ar
of his city.	עִירֽוֹ׃	ʿîrô	ee-ROH
