ઇબ્રામે જયારે હારાન છોડયું ત્યારે તે એકલો ન હતો. ઇબ્રામે પોતાની પત્ની સારાયને અને પોતાના ભાઈના દીકરા લોતને હારાનમાં હતા ત્યારે તેમણે ભેગી કરેલી બધી સંપત્તિને તથા તેમણે રાખેલા બધા નોકરોને સાથે લીધાં અને તેઓ કનાન દેશ જવા નીકળ્યાં અને ત્યાં પહોંચ્યાં.
