Esther 9:27
યહૂદીઓએ પોતાના તરફથી, પોતાના વંશજો તરફથી અને યહૂદીધર્મ પાળનારાઓ તરફથી પ્રતિવર્ષ આ બે દિવસો ચૂક્યા વગર ઠરાવેલ સમયે અને મોર્દખાયની સૂચના મુજબ અચૂક ઊજવવાનું માન્ય રાખ્યું.

એસ્તેર 8:17
જે જે નગર તથા પ્રાંતમાં રાજાનો આદેશ પહોંચ્યો ત્યાં ત્યાં યહૂદીઓમાં આનંદ વ્યાપી ગયો અને હર્ષ પ્રદષિર્ત કરવા માટે તે ઉત્સવનો દિવસ બની રહ્યો અને તેઓએ તે મહાઆનંદપૂર્વક ઊજવ્યો. ઘણાં લોકોએ પોતાને યહૂદી તરીકે ઓળખાવ્યા કારણકે તે લોકો યહૂદીઓથી ડરી ગયા હતા.
ઝખાર્યા 8:23
સૈન્યોનો દેવ યહોવા એમ કહે છે, “તે સમયે જુદા જુદા રાષ્ટોના દશ માણસો એક જ યહૂદીનો ઝભ્ભો પકડશે અને કહેશે, અમને તમારી સાથે આવવા દો, કારણ, ‘અમે સાંભળ્યું છે કે દેવ તમારી સાથે છે!’

દાઉદના શાસનકાળ દરમ્યાન ત્રણ વર્ષ સુધી દેશમાં દુષ્કાળ પડયો, આથી દાઉદે યહોવાને પ્રાર્થના કરી અને યહોવાએ જવાબ આપ્યો , “શાઉલ અને તેના ખૂનીઓના કુટુંબઆ કુળ માંટે કારણરુપ છે, કારણ તેણે ગિબયોનીઓની હત્યા કરી હતી.”

તે દિવસથી દાઉદે ઇસ્રાએલ માંટે આ નિયમ કર્યો જે આજપર્યંત ચાલું છે.
યહોશુઆ 9:15
યહોશુઆએ તેમની સાથે શાંતિના કરાર કર્યા અને તેમને જીવનદાન આપવાનું વચન આપ્યું. અને ઇસ્રાએલના સમાંજના આગેવાનોએ તેને વચન આપીને મંજૂરી આપી.
