પછી આશ્શૂરનો રાજા સમગ્ર દેશ પર ચઢી આવ્યો, ને સમરૂન સુધી આવીને 3 વર્ષ સુધી તેને ઘેરો ઘાલ્યો.

Then the king	וַיַּ֥עַל	wayyaʿal	va-YA-al
of Assyria	מֶֽלֶךְ	melek	MEH-lek
up came	אַשּׁ֖וּר	ʾaššûr	AH-shoor
throughout all	בְּכָל	bĕkāl	beh-HAHL
the land,	הָאָ֑רֶץ	hāʾāreṣ	ha-AH-rets
up went and	וַיַּ֙עַל֙	wayyaʿal	va-YA-AL
to Samaria,	שֹֽׁמְר֔וֹן	šōmĕrôn	shoh-meh-RONE
and besieged	וַיָּ֥צַר	wayyāṣar	va-YA-tsahr
	עָלֶ֖יהָ	ʿālêhā	ah-LAY-ha
it three	שָׁלֹ֥שׁ	šālōš	sha-LOHSH
years.	שָׁנִֽים׃	šānîm	sha-NEEM
