યહૂદાનાં રાજા સુલેમાંનનો પુત્ર રહાબઆમ જ્યારે તે 41 વર્ષની ઊંમરનો હતો ત્યારે યહૂદાનો રાજા બન્યો. રહાબઆમે યરૂશાલેમમાં 17 વર્ષ રાજ્ય કર્યુ. ઇસ્રાએલની બધી જાતિઓમાંથી યરૂશાલેમ નગર હતું જેને યહોવાએ પોતાના માંટે પસંદ કર્યુ હતું. રહાબઆમની માંતાનું નામ નાઅમાંહ હતું, તે આમ્મોની હતી.
