આથી દાઉદે યોઆબને અને લશ્કરી વડા અધિકારીઓને કહ્યું, “જાઓ અને બેર-શેબાથી દાન સુધી સમગ્ર ઇસ્રાએલની વસ્તી ગણતરી કરો. અને પછી આવીને જણાવો કે, મારી પ્રજાની વસ્તી કેટલી છે.”

And David	וַיֹּ֨אמֶר	wayyōʾmer	va-YOH-mer
said	דָּוִ֤יד	dāwîd	da-VEED
to	אֶל	ʾel	el
Joab	יוֹאָב֙	yôʾāb	yoh-AV
and to	וְאֶל	wĕʾel	veh-EL
rulers the	שָׂרֵ֣י	śārê	sa-RAY
of the people,	הָעָ֔ם	hāʿām	ha-AM
Go,	לְכ֗וּ	lĕkû	leh-HOO
number	סִפְרוּ֙	siprû	seef-ROO
	אֶת	ʾet	et
Israel	יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל	yiśrāʾēl	yees-ra-ALE
Beer-sheba from	מִבְּאֵ֥ר	mibbĕʾēr	mee-beh-ARE
even to	שֶׁ֖בַע	šebaʿ	SHEH-va
Dan;	וְעַד	wĕʿad	veh-AD
bring and	דָּ֑ן	dān	dahn
	וְהָבִ֣יאוּ	wĕhābîʾû	veh-ha-VEE-oo
the number	אֵלַ֔י	ʾēlay	ay-LAI
to them of	וְאֵֽדְעָ֖ה	wĕʾēdĕʿâ	veh-ay-deh-AH
me, that I may know	אֶת	ʾet	et
it.	מִסְפָּרָֽם׃	mispārām	mees-pa-RAHM
