અરામીઓ સમજી ગયા કે પોતે ઇસ્રાએલીઓને હાથે હાર ખાધી છે. એટલે તેમણે સંદેશાવાહકો મોકલીને નદી પારના બીજા અરામીઓને હદારએઝેરના સેનાપતિ શોફાખની આગેવાની હેઠળ બોલાવી લીધા.
