ઇસહાકે એનું નામ શિબાહ પાડયું. આથી એ શહેર આજપર્યંત બેર-શેબા કહેવાય છે.

| this | שֶׁ֔בַע | šebaʿ | SHEH-va |
| day. | עַ֖ד | ʿad | ad |
| הַיּ֥וֹם | hayyôm | HA-yome | |
| הַזֶּֽה׃ | hazze | ha-ZEH |
