Genesis 16:11
યહોવાના દૂતે એમ પણ કહ્યું, “તું અત્યારે ગર્ભવતી છે, અને તું એક પુત્ર જણીશ અને તેનું નામ ઇશ્માંએલ રાખીશ. કારણ કે યહોવાએ સાંભળ્યું છે કે, તારી સાથે ખરાબ વર્તાવ થયો છે, અને તે તારી મદદ કરશે.

| a son, | וְיֹלַ֣דְתְּ | wĕyōladĕt | veh-yoh-LA-det |
| and shalt call | בֵּ֑ן | bēn | bane |
| his name | וְקָרָ֤את | wĕqārāt | veh-ka-RAHT |
| Ishmael; | שְׁמוֹ֙ | šĕmô | sheh-MOH |
| because | יִשְׁמָעֵ֔אל | yišmāʿēl | yeesh-ma-ALE |
| the Lord | כִּֽי | kî | kee |
| hath heard | שָׁמַ֥ע | šāmaʿ | sha-MA |
| יְהוָ֖ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA | |
| thy affliction. | אֶל | ʾel | el |
