Psalm 90:10
અમારી વયના દિવસો સિત્તેર વર્ષ જેટલા છે; કેટલાંક તેમનાં બળને કારણે એંસી વર્ષ પણ જીવે. તો પણ શ્રેષ્ઠ વષોર્ મિથ્યા, શ્રમ, તથા દુ:ખ માત્ર છે; કારણ તે ઝડપથી પસાર થઇ જાય છે અને અમારો અંત આવી જાય છે.

ઘડીક માટે દુષ્ટ માણસ ઊંચો આવે છે પણ પછી તે મળતો નથી. બીજા દરેકની જેમજ તે ધાન્યની જેમ કપાઇ જશે.
