Luke 18:31
પછી ઈસુએ બાર પ્રેરિતો સાથે એકલા વાત કરી. ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું કે, “ધ્યાનથી સાંભળો! આપણે યરૂશાલેમ જઇએ છીએ. દેવે પ્રબોધકોને જે કંઈ માણસના દીકરા વિષે લખવાનું કહ્યું હતું તે બનશે!

પછી ઈસુ તે સમયથી તેના શિષ્યોને કહેવા લાગ્યો કે, તેણે યરૂશાલેમ જવું પડશે. ત્યાં વડીલો તથા મુખ્ય યાજકો અને શાસ્ત્રીઓ દ્વારા ઘણી બાબતો સહન કરવી પડશે. તેણે તેઓને સમજાવ્યું કે તેને મારી નાખવામાં આવશે અને ત્રણ દિવસ પછી તે ફરીથી મરણમાંથી સજીવન થશે.
