Ecclesiastes 4:16
અસંખ્ય લોકો તેની સન્મુખ ઊભા હતાં, તો પણ તેના પછીની પેઢીનાં લોકો તેનાથી ખુશ નહોતા. તેથી ખરેખર એ પણ વ્યર્થ અને હવામાં બાચકા ભરવા જેવું છે.

આબ્શાલોમે રાજા દાઉદના સલાહકારોમાંનો એક અહીથોફેલને એના નગર ગીલોનીથી બોલાવ્યો, તે વખતે આબ્શાલોમ યજ્ઞ અર્પણ કરતો હતો. આબ્શાલોમનું કાવત્રું સારી રીતે પાર પડી રહ્યું હતું અને ઘણા લોકો તેને સાથ આપી રહ્યાં હતા. આબ્શાલોમના ટેકેદારોની સંખ્યા પણ વધતી ગઈ.

જો તમે યરૂબ્બઆલ અને તેના પરિવાર પ્રત્યે વફાદાર હો તો ભલે તમે અબીમેલેખને રાજા તરીકે મેળવીને ખુશ થાઓ અને તમને તેની પ્રજા તરીકે મેળવીને ભલે તે ખુશ થતો.
