ત્યારે જે બધાં કામો મેં મારે હાથે કર્યાં હતા તે પર, અને જે મહેનત કરવાનો મેં શ્રમ ઉઠાવ્યો હતો તે પર મેં નજર કરી; તો એ સઘળું વ્યર્થ તથા હવામાં બાચકાં ભરવા જેવું દેખાયું અને દુનિયા ઉપર મને કઇં લાભ દેખાયો નહિ.
