Deuteronomy 27:16
“‘જો કોઈ વ્યકિત પોતાના પિતા કે માંતાનું અપમાંન કરે તો તેના પર શ્રાપ ઊતરો.’“અને બધા લોકો ‘આમીન’ કહીને સ્વીકૃતિ આપશે.

“જો કોઈ પોતાના પિતાને અને માંતાને શાપ આપે તો તેને મૃત્યુદંડ આપવો. એણે પોતાના પિતાને કે માંતાને શાપ આપ્યો છે તેથી તે પોતાના મોત માંટે પોતે જ જવાબદાર ગણાય.
Proverbs 30:11
એવી પણ એક પેઢી છે કે જે પોતાના પિતાને શાપ આપે છે અને પોતાની માને આશીર્વાદ દેતી નથી.
