Deuteronomy 15:17
તો તમાંરે એક સોયો લઈને તેના કાનની આરપાર વીંધીને બારણામાં ખોસી દેવો, તેથી તે જીવનભર તમાંરો ગુલામ બનીને રહેશે. સ્ત્રીગુલામની બાબતમાં પણ તમાંરે આ પ્રમાંણે જ વર્તવું,
| Then thou shalt take | וְלָֽקַחְתָּ֣ | wĕlāqaḥtā | veh-la-kahk-TA |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| aul, an | הַמַּרְצֵ֗עַ | hammarṣēaʿ | ha-mahr-TSAY-ah |
| and thrust | וְנָֽתַתָּ֤ה | wĕnātattâ | veh-na-ta-TA |
| ear his through it | בְאָזְנוֹ֙ | bĕʾoznô | veh-oze-NOH |
| unto the door, | וּבַדֶּ֔לֶת | ûbaddelet | oo-va-DEH-let |
| be shall he and | וְהָיָ֥ה | wĕhāyâ | veh-ha-YA |
| thy servant | לְךָ֖ | lĕkā | leh-HA |
| for ever. | עֶ֣בֶד | ʿebed | EH-ved |
| also And | עוֹלָ֑ם | ʿôlām | oh-LAHM |
| unto thy maidservant | וְאַ֥ף | wĕʾap | veh-AF |
| thou shalt do | לַאֲמָֽתְךָ֖ | laʾămātĕkā | la-uh-ma-teh-HA |
| likewise. | תַּֽעֲשֶׂה | taʿăśe | TA-uh-seh |
| כֵּֽן׃ | kēn | kane |
