દીવાલ પરનું લખાણ વાંચી તેનો અર્થ મને સમજાવવા માટે મારી પાસે બુદ્ધિમાન માણસોને અને મંત્રવિદોને લાવવામાં આવ્યાં હતાં પરંતુ તેઓ તેનો અર્થ સમજાવી શક્યા ન હતા.

પછી રાજાના સર્વ બુદ્ધિમાનો ત્યાં હાજર થઇ ગયાં, પણ તેઓમાંનો એક પણ બુદ્ધિમાન પુરુષ તે લખાણ વાંચી શક્યો નહિ. તથા સમજી શક્યો નહિ તેથી રાજાને તેઓ કશું સમજાવી ન શક્યા.

તે જ સમયે આ ભવિષ્યવાણી પૂરી થઇ. નબૂખાદનેસ્સારને તેના મહેલમાંથી હાંકી કાઢવામાં આવ્યો અને બળદની જેમ તે ઘાસ ખાવા લાગ્યો. તેનું શરીર ઝાકળથી પલળી ગયું. તેના વાળ ગરૂડના પીછા જેવા લાંબા વધી ગયા અને તેના નખ પક્ષીઓના પંજા જેવા થઇ ગયા.
