Daniel 10:3
તે પૂરાં ત્રણ અઠવાડિયાઁ સુધી મેં કોઇ સ્વાદિષ્ટ ભોજન ખાધું નહોતું, માંસ કે, દ્રાક્ષારસ મારા મોંમાં સુદ્ધાં મૂક્યા નહોતા, તેમજ શરીરે કોઇ તેલ કે, મલાઇ લગાવી નહોતી.

વળી, તે મિસર પાછો ફરશે ત્યારે તેઓની ધાતુની મૂર્તિઓ અને મૂર્તિઓને અપેર્લાં સોનાના તથા ચાંદીના અસંખ્ય પાત્રો પોતાની સાથે લઇ જશે. અને થોડાં વર્ષ સુધી તે ઉત્તરના રાજા ઉપર હુમલો કરવાનું બંધ રાખશે.
