વિશ્વાસીઓમાં એકનું નામ યૂસફ હતું. પ્રેરિતો તેને બાર્નાબાસ કહેતા. (આ નામનો અર્થ “બીજાને મદદ કરનાર વ્યક્તિ.”) તે લેવી હતો સૈપ્રસમાં તેનો જન્મ થયો હતો.
