Psalm 131
1 હે યહોવા હું ગવિર્ષ્ઠ નથી, હું કદી અગત્યના માણસ તરીકે વર્તતો નથી. હું મારી જાતને કદીય “મહાન વસ્તુઓ” સાથે સંડોવતો નથી જે કરવું મારા માટે અતિ ભયપ્રદ હોય.
2 મેં મારી જાતને શાંત કરી છે. મારો આત્મા સ્વસ્થ અને શાંત છે. મારો આત્મા માતાના બાહુમાં ધાવણથી તૃપ્ત થયેલ બાળક જેવો છે.
3 હે ઇસ્રાએલ, યહોવા પર હંમેશા અને સદાય ભરોસો રાખ.

2 Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
3 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
4 Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever.
