Judges 6:3
જયારે જયારે ઈસ્રાએલી પ્રજા પોતાના ખેતરોમાં વાવણી કરતી ત્યારે ત્યારે મિદ્યાનીઓ, અમાંલેકીઓ અને બીજી પૂર્વની પ્રજાઓ આવીને તેમના ઉપર હુમલો કરતી.

“તમાંરા વિવાહ કોઈ સ્ત્રી સાથે થશે, પરંતુ તેનો ઉપભોગ બીજો પુરુષ કરશે; તમે તમાંરા માંટે ઘર બાંધશો છતાં પણ તમે તેમાં રહેવા પામશો નહિ. દ્રાક્ષની વાડીઓ તમે કરશો પરંતુ તેનાં ફળ તમે ચાખી શકશો નહિ.

તો હું તમને આ પ્રમાંણે સજા કરીશ: હું તમાંરા પર અત્યંત ત્રાસ વર્તાવીશ. હું તમાંરા પર એવા રોગો અને જવર મોકલીશ કે જે તમને અંધ બનાવી દેશે, અને તમાંરા જીવનનો નિકાસ કરી નાખશે. તમે વાવશો દાણા છતાં તમાંરો પાક જમી શકશો નહિ, કારણ કે તે તમાંરો શત્રુ જમશે.
