એટલે યહોરામ રાજાએ સમરૂનથી બહાર નીકળીને ઇસ્રાએલના બધા માંણસોને યુદ્ધ માંટે ભેગા કર્યાં.

ઇસ્રાએલીઓ પણ લડવા ભેગા થયા. તેઓએ બખ્તર અને બીજા હથિયારો સાથે લીધાં અને અરામીઓનો સામનો કરવા નીકળી પડયા અને તેમની સામે પડાવ નાખ્યો. ઇસ્રાએલીઓ તો બકરાનાં બે ટોળાં જેવાં લાગતા હતાં અને અરામીઓ તો સમગ્ર પ્રદેશમાં ફેલાઇ ગયા હતા.
