સેવાની વ્યવસ્થા કરતાં યાજકો પોતાને સ્થાને અને લેવીઓ પોતપોતાની ટૂકડીઓમાં રાજાના હુકમ મુજબ ગોઠવાઇ ગયા. તેમણે પાસ્ખાના બલિનો વધ કરવા માંડ્યો;
