પલિસ્તીઓએ પણ નીચાણના પ્રદેશોમાં તેમજ દક્ષિણનાં શહેરો ઉપર હુમલો કર્યો અને આજબાજુના ગામડાઓ સહિત બેથ-શેમેશ, આયાલોન, ગદેરોથ, સોખો તેમજ તિમ્નાહ અને ગિમ્ઝો કબજે કર્યા, અને તેમાં વસવાટ કર્યો.
