પછી આહાઝે આશ્શૂરના રાજા તિગ્લાથ પિલેસેરને સંદેશવાહકો મોકલીને કહેવડાવ્યું કે, “હું તથા આપના પુત્ર બરાબર છીએ. અને આપનો સેવક છું, આવો, અને ઇસ્રાએલના રાજાઓ અને અરામીઓ સામે લડવામાં મારી મદદ કરો.”
