আমাদের মধ্যে এখনও কিছু লোক আছে যারা ইস্রায়েলের কেউ নয়| তারা তাদের নিজেদের দেবতার পূজা করে| তোমরা তাদের দেবতাদের সেবা অথবা পূজা করবে না| প্রতিশ্রুতি নেবার সময় তাদের দেবতাদের নাম তোমাদের নেওয়া উচিত্‌ হবে না|

Zephaniah 1:5
লোকেরা ঐ সব ভ্রান্ত যাজকদের সম্বন্ধে ভুলে যাবে এবং য়ারা তাদের ছাদে গিয়ে তারকাসমূহের পূজো করে তাদের সরিয়ে দেব| কিছু লোক বলে যে তারা আমাকে উপাসনা করে| ঐসব লোকেরা আমাকে উপাসনা করার জন্য প্রতিশ্রুতি করেছিল, কিন্তু এখন তারা মালকামের মূর্ত্তি পূজো করছে| সেজন্য আমি ঐসব লোকেদের এই জায়গা থেকে সরিয়ে দেবো|

Deuteronomy 7:2
প্রভু, তোমাদের ঈশ্বর, এই জাতিগুলোকে তোমাদের কাছে সমর্পণ করলে পরে তোমরা তাদের পরাজিত করবে এবং তাদের সম্পূর্ণভাবে ধ্বংস করবে| তাদের সঙ্গে কোনোরকম নিয়ম কোরো না| তাদের ক্ষমা প্রদর্শন করো না|

Exodus 23:33
তাদের তোমাদের দেশে একদম থাকতে দেবে না| যদি থাকতে দাও তাহলে তাদের ফাঁদে পা দিয়ে তোমরা আমার বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করবে এবং তোমরা ঐ লোকদের দেবতাদের পূজা করতে বাধ্য হবে|”

যাঁরা অন্ধকারে চলে তাদের মন্দ কাজের অংশীদার হযো না৷ ঐসব কাজে কোন সুফল পাওয়া যায় না৷ সত্ কাজে লিপ্ত থাকো; অন্ধকারে যা করা হয় তা য়ে মন্দ তা দেখিয়ে দাও৷
