ঈশ্বর বলেন, “কর্মীরা সমস্ত দিন ধরে ঐ মৃত সৈন্যদের কবরস্থ করবে যাতে দেশ শুচি হয়| ঐ কর্মীরা সাত মাস ধরে পরিশ্রম করবে| পরে মৃত দেহের জন্য এদিকে ওদিকে অনুসন্ধান করবে|”

মৃত লোকদের নগরের নাম হবে হামোনা| এই ভাবে তারা সেই দেশ শুদ্ধ করবে|”

যদি কোনো ব্যক্তি মৃতদেহ স্পর্শ করে, তাহলে সেই ব্যক্তি সাতদিন অশুচি থাকবে| মৃতদেহটি যদি বাইরে মাঠে থাকে অথবা সেই ব্যক্তি যদি যুদ্ধে মারা গিয়ে থাকে তাহলেও এটি প্রয়োজ্য| এছাড়াও যদি কোন ব্যক্তি মৃত ব্যক্তির হাড় স্পর্শ করে, তাহলে সেই ব্যক্তি সাতদিনের জন্য অশুচি থাকবে|
