তিনি তো ঈশ্বরের মন্দিরে ঢুকে সেই পবিত্র রুটি খেয়েছিলেন৷ দায়ূদ ও তাঁর সঙ্গীদের অবশ্যই তা খাওয়া ন্যায়সঙ্গত ছিল না, কেবল যাজকরাই তা খেতে পারতেন৷
