কিন্তু যাঁরা শৌলের কাছ থেকে শিক্ষা পেয়েছিল, তারা শৌলকে শহর ত্যাগে সাহায্য করল৷ তারা শৌলকে একটা ঝুড়িতে রেখে শহরের প্রাচীরের এক গর্ত দিয়ে ঝুড়িশুদ্ধ শৌলকে বাইরে নামিয়ে দিল৷
