সেদিনই রাজা অহশ্বেরশ রাণী ইষ্টেরকে হামনের যাবতীয় সম্পত্তি দিয়ে দিলেন| ইষ্টের রাজাকে জানালেন য়ে মর্দখয় সম্পর্কে তাঁর ভাই হয়| তারপর মর্দখয় রাজার সঙ্গে দেখা করতে এলেন|

ইষ্টেরের যখন রাজার কাছে যাবার পালা এলো, ইষ্টের কোন কিছু চাইলেন না| শুধু তিনি নপুংসক হেগয়ের পরামর্শ চাইলেন য়ে, তাঁর সঙ্গে করে কি নিয়ে যাওয়া উচিত্| (ইষ্টের ছিলেন মর্দখয়ের পোষ্যপুত্রী, তিনি ছিলেন তার মামা অবীহয়িলের কন্য|) ইষ্টেরকে য়েই দেখতো সেই পছন্দ করতো|
প্রবচন 13:22
এক জন সজ্জন ব্যক্তির যা সম্পদ থাকবে তা সে তার সন্তান ও নাতি-নাতনিদের দিয়ে য়েতে পারবে| এবং পরিশেষে দুর্জনদের সব সম্পদও এক দিন সজ্জন ব্যক্তিদের আওতায চলে আসবে|
