শহরের ঠিক সামনেই দ্যুপিতের য়ে মন্দির ছিল, তার যাজক কয়েকটা ষাঁড় ও মালা নিয়ে শহরের ফটকে এল ও লোকদের সঙ্গে সেখানে তা বলিদান করে পৌল ও বার্ণবার কাছে উত্সর্গ করতে চাইল৷
