“কিন্তু তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষরা তাদের প্রভু ঈশ্বরের কথা ভুলে গেল| ফলে ঈশ্বর তাদের সীষরার ক্রীতদাস করে দিলেন| সীষরা ছিল হাত্‌সোরের সৈন্যদের অধিনাযক| তারপর প্রভু তাদের পলেষ্টীয় আর মোয়াবের রাজার ক্রীতদাস করে দিলেন| তারা সবাই তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করেছিল|

Psalm 106:21
ঈশ্বর আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের রক্ষা করেছিলেন! কিন্তু তাঁরা তাঁকে সম্পূর্ণ ভুলে গিয়েছিলেন| মিশরে য়ে ঈশ্বর বিরাট অলৌকিক কাজ করেছিলেন, তাঁকে তাঁরা ভুলে গেলেন|

Deuteronomy 32:30
একজন লোক কি কখনও 1,000 লোককে তাড়িয়ে দিতে পারে? দুজন কি কখনও 10,000 লোককে পালাতে বাধ্য করতে পারে? এই সব তখনই ঘটে যখন প্রভু তাদের শত্রুর হাতে সমর্পণ করেন! এই সব তখনই ঘটে যদি শৈলতাদের দাসের মত বিক্রয় করে দেন!
