আহাব তখন সরকারী কর্মচারীদের তরুণ সহকারীদের জড়ো করলেন| সব মিলিয়ে এরা সংখ্যায় ছিল 232 জন| তারপর রাজা ইস্রায়েলের সেনাবাহিনীকে ডেকে পাঠালেন| সব মিলিয়ে সেখানে 7,000 জন ছিল|
