কিছু দ্বার রক্ষীদের কাজ ছিল মন্দিরের নিত্য ব্যবহৃত থালার হিসেব রাখা| এঁরা এই সমস্ত থালা বাইরে আনা ও নিয়ে যাওয়ার সময়ে গুনে রাখতেন|

কিন্তু এ ঘটনা ঘটার আগে ইলিয়াশীব মন্দিরের একটি ঘর টোবিয়কে দিয়েছিলেন| ইলিয়াশীব ছিলেন মন্দিরের ভাঁড়ার ঘরগুলির ভারপ্রাপ্ত যাজক আর টোবিয ছিলেন তাঁরই ঘনিষ্ঠ বন্ধু|
