அவன் தண்ணீரண்டையிலே நாட்டப்பட்டதும் கால்வாய் ஓரமாகத் தன் வேர்களை விடுகிறதும், உஷணம் வருகிறதைக் காணாமல் இலை பச்சையாயிருக்கிறதும், மழைத்தாழ்ச்சியான வருஷத்திலும் வருத்தமின்றித் தப்பாமல் கனிகொடுக்கிறதுமான மரத்தைப்போலிருப்பான்.

அப்படியே தாவீதும் அவனுடைய மனிதர்களும் வழியிலே நடந்துபோனார்கள்; சீமேயியும் மலையின் பக்கத்திலே அவனுக்கு எதிராக நடந்து சபித்து, அவனுக்கு எதிராகக் கற்களை எறிந்து, மண்ணைத் தூற்றிக்கொண்டே வந்தான்.

இவ்வாறு தாவீதும் அவனுடைய ஆட்களும் பாதையில் தொடர்ந்து நடந்துச் சென்றனர். ஆனால் சீமேயி தாவீதைப் பின் தொடர்ந்தான். மலையோரமுள்ள மறுபுறத்துப் பாதையில் சிமேயி நடந்தான். சீமேயி தீயவற்றைச் சொல்லிக்கொண்டே நடந்தான். சீமேயி கற்களையும் அழுக்கையுங்கூட தாவீதின் மீது எறிந்தான்.
