தங்கள் பிதாக்களைப்போல வழிவிலகி, துரோகம்பண்ணி, மோசம்போக்கும் வில்லைப்போல் துவண்டு,

ஆகையால் அவைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு நடவுங்கள்; மக்களின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் இதுவே உங்களுக்கு ஞானமும் விவேகமுமாக இருக்கும்; அவர்கள் இந்தக் கட்டளைகளையெல்லாம் கேட்டு, இந்தப் பெரிய மக்கள் கூட்டமே ஞானமும் விவேகமும் உள்ள மக்கள் என்பார்கள்.

எச்சரிக்கையுடன் இச்சட்டங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள். நீங்கள் அறிவும், ஞானமும் உள்ளவர்கள் என்பதை இது மற்ற நாட்டு ஜனங்களுக்கு எடுத்துக்காட்டும். அந்நாட்டு ஜனங்களும் இச்சட்டங்களைக் கேள்விப்படும்போது, ‘உண்மையிலேயே, இந்த பெரிய ஜனத்தின் (இஸ்ரவேலர்) ஜனங்கள் ஞானமுள்ளவர்களாகவும் அறிவுள்ளவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறார்கள்’ என்று அவர்கள் கூறுவார்கள்.
