அல்லேலுூயா, செம்மையானவர்களுடைய சங்கத்திலும் சபையிலும் கர்த்தரை முழு இருதயத்தோடும் துதிப்பேன்.

இப்போதும் பாகாலின் சகல தீர்க்கதரிசிகளையும், அவனுடைய சகல பணிவிடைக்காரர்களையும், அவனுடைய சகல ஆசாரியர்களையும் என்னிடத்தில் வரவழையுங்கள்; ஒருவனும் விடுபடக்கூடாது; நான் பாகாலுக்குப் பெரிய பலியிடப்போகிறேன்; வராதவன் எவனோ அவன் உயிரோடிருப்பதில்லை என்றான்; பாகாலின் பணிவிடைக்காரர்களை அழிக்கும்படி யெகூ இதைத் தந்திரமாகச் செய்தான்.

இப்போது பாகாலின் பக்தர்களையும் ஆசாரியர்களையும் கூப்பிடுங்கள். இக்கூட்டத்திற்கு யாரையும் தவறவிடாதீர்கள். பாகாலுக்குக் கொடுக்க பெரும்பலி இருக்கிறது!. இக்கூட்டத்திற்கு வராதவர்களைக் கொல்வேன்!” என்று ஆணையிட்டான். இவ்வாறு யெகூ தந்திரம் செய்தான். அவர்கள் அத்தனை பேரையும் அழிப்பதுதான் அவனது திட்டம்

எனவே, பாகாலின் வாக்குரைப்போர் அனைவரையும் அதற்கு ஊழியம் செய்யும் எல்லாரையும் அதன் அர்ச்சகர்கள் அனைவரையும் என்னிடம் அழைத்து வாருங்கள். அவர்களில் ஒருவரும் வரத் தவறக்கூடாது. ஏனெனில், நான் பாகாலுக்கு ஒரு மாபெரும் பலி செலுத்த வேண்டியிருக்கிறது. வராதவர் அனைவரும் உயிரிழப்பர்” என்றான். பாகாலுக்கு ஊழியம் செய்வோரை ஒழித்துக்கட்டும் நோக்கிலேதான் இவ்வாறு ஏகூ சூழ்ச்சி செய்தான்.

Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.
