அப்பொழுது கொலைசெய்தவனையும் பழிவாங்குகிறவனையும் சபையார் இந்த நியாயப்படி விசாரித்து,

இவ்வாறு நிகழ்ந்தால், பிறகு சமுதாயம் தான் முடிவெடுக்க வேண்டும். அவர்களுக்குரிய வழக்குமன்றமே நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டியதைத் தீர்மானிக்கும். சமூக நீதிமன்றமே கொலை செய்யப்பட்டவனின் குடும்பத்தில் உள்ள ஒருவன், கொலைகாரனை கொலை செய்யலாமா என்பதைத் தீர்மானிக்கும்.

Joshua 20:6
நியாயம் விசாரிக்கும் சபைக்கு முன்பாக அவன் நிற்கும்வரைக்கும், அந்நாட்களிலிருக்கிற பிரதான ஆசாரியன் மரணமடையும்வரைக்கும், அவன் அந்தப் பட்டணத்திலே குடியிருக்கக் கடவன்; பின்பு கொலைசெய்தவன் தான் விட்டோடிப்போன தன் பட்டணத்திற்கும் தன் வீட்டிற்கும் திரும்பிப்போகவேண்டும் என்று சொல் என்றார்.
Numbers 35:12
கொலைசெய்தவன் நியாயசபையிலே நியாயம் விசாரிக்கப்படுமுன் சாகாமல், பழிவாங்குகிறவன் கைக்குத் தப்பிப்போயிருக்கும்படி, அவைகள் உங்களுக்கு அடைக்கலப்பட்டணங்களாய் இருக்கக்கடவது.
