அவர் அவ்விடம் விட்டுப் போகையில், வேறே இரண்டு சகோதரராகிய செபதேயுவின் மகன் யாக்கோபும், அவன் சகோதரன் யோவானும் தங்கள் தகப்பன் செபதேயுவுடனே படவிலிருந்து, தங்கள் வலைகளைப் பழுதுபார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறபோது, அவர்களைக் கண்டு, அவர்களையும் அழைத்தார்.

அவர் அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுப் போகும்போது, வேறு இரண்டு சகோதரர்களாகிய செபெதேயுவின் குமாரர்களான யாக்கோபும், யோவானும் தங்களுடைய தகப்பன் செபெதேயுவோடு படகிலிருந்து, தங்களுடைய வலைகளைப் பழுதுபார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறபோது, அவர்களைக் கண்டு, அவர்களையும் அழைத்தார்.

இயேசு கலிலேயா ஏரிக்கரையோரம் தொடர்ந்து நடந்து செல்லும்போது செபெதேயுவின் புதல்வர்களான யாக்கோபு மற்றும் யோவான் ஆகிய சகோதரர்களைக் கண்டார். அவர்கள் இருவரும் ஒரு படகில் தம் தந்தையோடு இருந்தனர். அவர்கள் மீன் பிடிப்பதற்காகத் தங்களது வலையைத் தயார் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தனர். இயேசு அந்தச் சகோதரர்களைத் தம்முடன் வருமாறு அழைத்தார்.
