இவன் தச்சன் அல்லவா? மரியாளுடைய குமாரன் அல்லவா? யாக்கோபு யோசே யூதா சீமோன் என்பவர்களுக்குச் சகோதரன் அல்லவா? இவன் சகோதரிகளும், இங்கே நம்மிடத்தில் இருக்கிறார்கள் அல்லவா? என்று சொல்லி, அவரைக் குறித்து இடறலடைந்தார்கள்.

இவன் தச்சன் அல்லவா? மரியாளுடைய குமாரன் அல்லவா? யாக்கோபு, யோசே, யூதா, சீமோன் என்பவர்களுடைய சகோதரன் அல்லவா? இவன் சகோதரிகளும் இங்கே நம்மோடு இருக்கிறார்கள் அல்லவா? என்று சொல்லி, அவரைக்குறித்து இடறல் அடைந்தார்கள்.

இவர் ஒரு தச்சன் மட்டும்தானே. இவருடைய தாய் மரியாள் அல்லவா! இவர் யாக்கோபு, யோசே, சீமோன் ஆகியோரின் சகோதரர் அல்லவா. இவரது சகோதரிகள் நம்முடன் தானே இருக்கிறார்கள்” என்று பேசிக்கொண்டார்கள். அவர்கள் இயேசுவை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாமல் இருந்தனர்.
