ஒருவனும் கோடித்துண்டைப் பழைய வஸ்திரத்தோடு இணைக்கமாட்டான், இணைத்தால், அதினோடே இணைத்த புதியதுண்டு பழையதை அதிகமாய்க் கிழிக்கும், பீறலும் அதிகமாகும்.

ஒருவனும் புதிய ஆடையின் துண்டைப் பழைய ஆடையோடு இணைத்து தைக்கமாட்டான், தைத்தால், அதினோடு இணைத்த புதிய ஆடை பழைய ஆடையை அதிகமாகக் கிழிக்கும், கீறலும் அதிகமாகும்.

“எவனொருவனும் புதிய துணியோடு பழைய துணியைச் சேர்த்து ஒட்டுப்போட்டு தைக்கமாட்டான். அவன் அவ்வாறு செய்தால் ஒட்டுப்போட்டவை சுருங்கிவிடும். புதியது பழையதை அதிகமாய்க் கிழிக்கும். முன்னதைவிட மோசமாகும்.

எவரும் பழைய ஆடையில் புதிய துணியை ஒட்டுப்போடுவதில்லை. அவ்வாறு ஒட்டுப்போட்டால், அந்த புதிய துணி பழையதிலிருந்து கிழியும்; கிழிசலும் பெரிதாகும்.
