சிநேயார் தேசத்திலுள்ள பாபேல், ஏரேக், அக்காத், கல்னே என்னும் இடங்கள் அவன் ஆண்ட ராஜ்யத்திற்கு ஆதி ஸ்தானங்கள்.

சிநேயாரின் ராஜாவாகிய அம்ராப்பேலும், எலாசாரின் ராஜாவாகிய அரியோகும் ஏலாமின் ராஜாவாகிய கெதர்லாகோமேரும், ஜாதிகளின் ராஜாவாகிய திதியாலும் இருந்த நாட்களில்;

அப்பொழுது ஆண்டவர் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீமையும் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பாத்திரங்களில் சிலவற்றையும் அவன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவன் அந்தப் பாத்திரங்களைச் சினேயார் தேசத்திலுள்ள தன் தேவனுடைய கோவிலுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவைகளைத் தன் தேவனுடைய பண்டசாலைக்குள் வைத்தான்.

அக்காலத்திலே, ஆண்டவர் அசீரியாவிலும், எகிப்திலும், பத்ரோசிலும், எத்தியோப்பியாவிலும், பெர்சியாவிலும், சிநேயாரிலும், ஆமாத்திலும், சமுத்திரத் தீவுகளிலும், தம்முடைய ஜனத்தில் மீதியானவர்களை மீட்டுக்கொள்ளத் திரும்ப இரண்டாம்விசை தமது கரத்தை நீட்டி,

அதற்கு அவர் சிநெயார் தேசத்திலே அதற்கு ஒரு வீட்டைக் கட்டும்படிக்கு அதைக் கொண்டுபோகிறார்கள்; அங்கே அது ஸ்தாபிக்கப்பட்டு, தன் நிலையிலே வைக்கப்படும் என்றார்.

பூமியெங்கும் வழங்கின பாஷையைக் கர்த்தர் அவ்விடத்தில் தாறுமாறாக்கினபடியால், அதின் பேர் பாபேல் என்னப்பட்டது; கர்த்தர் அவர்களை அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து பூமியின்மீதெங்கும் சிதறிப்போகப்பண்ணினார்.

அப்பொழுது லோத்து யோர்தானுக்கு அருகான சமபூமி முழுவதையும் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, கிழக்கே பிரயாணப்பட்டுப் போனான்; இப்படி அவர்கள் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் விட்டுப் பிரிந்தார்கள்.
