அவர்கள் பயப்படாதபடிக்கு அவர்களைப் பத்திரமாய் வழிநடத்தினார்; அவர்கள் சத்துருக்களைக் கடல்மூடிப்போட்டது.

கர்த்தர் நதிகளின்மேல் கோபமாயிருந்தாரோ? தேவரீர் உம்முடைய குதிரைகளின்மேலும் இரட்சிப்புண்டாக்குகிற உம்முடைய இரதங்களின்மேலும் ஏறிவருகிறபோது, உமது கோபம் நதிகளுக்கும் உமது சினம் சமுத்திரத்திற்கும் விரோதமாயிருந்ததோ?

உமது ஜனத்தின் இரட்சிப்புக்காகவும் நீர் அபிஷேகம் பண்ணுவித்தவனின் இரட்சிப்புக்காவுமே நீர் புறப்பட்டீர். கழுத்தளவாக அஸ்திபாரத்தைத் திறப்பாக்கி, துஷ்டனுடைய வீட்டிலிருந்த தலைவனை வெட்டினீர்; சேலா.

அவர் சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தை அதட்டினார், அது வற்றிப்போயிற்று; தரையில் நடக்கிறதுபோல அவர்களை ஆழங்களில் நடந்துபோகப்பண்ணினார்.

அப்பொழுது மோசே ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: பயப்படாதிருங்கள்; நீங்கள் நின்றுகொண்டு இன்றைக்குக் கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யும் இரட்சிப்பைப் பாருங்கள்; இன்றைக்கு நீங்கள் காண்கிற எகிப்தியரை இனி என்றைக்கும் காணமாட்டீர்கள்.

உம்முடைய காற்றை வீசப்பண்ணினீர், கடல் அவர்களை மூடிக்கொண்டது; திரளான தண்ணீர்களில் ஈயம்போல அமிழ்ந்துபோனார்கள்.

எகிப்திய சேனையும் அவர்கள் குதிரைகளும் இரதங்களும் உங்களைப் பின் தொடர்ந்துவருகையில், கர்த்தர் சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தின் ஜலத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் புரளப்பண்ணி, இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறதுபோல, அவர்களை அழித்த அவருடைய செய்கையையும்,
