ஜீவாதிபதியைக் கொலைசெய்தீர்கள்; அவரை தேவன் மரித்தோரிலிருந்தெழுப்பினார்; அதற்கு நாங்கள் சாட்சிகளாயிருக்கிறோம்.

ஆனாலும் கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்கு மனமிரங்கி, ஆபிரகாம், ஈசாக்கு, யாக்கோபு என்பவர்களோடு செய்த தமது உடன்படிக்கையினிமித்தம் அவர்களை அழிக்க விருப்பமில்லாமலும், அவர்களை இன்னும் தம்முடைய முகத்தைவிட்டுத் தள்ளாமலும் அவர்கள்மேல் மனதுருகி, அவர்களை நினைத்தருளினார்.

ஆனால் கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் மேல் கருணையோடு இருந்தார். அவர் ஆபிரகாம், ஈசாக்கு, யாக்கோபு ஆகியவர்களோடு செய்த உடன்படிக்கையின் காரணமாக கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலர்களை அழிப்பதில்லை. இன்னும் அவர்களை தூர எறியவில்லை.
