1 பேதுரு 5:9
விசுவாசத்தில் உறுதியாயிருந்து, அவனுக்கு எதிர்த்து நில்லுங்கள்; உலகத்திலுள்ள உங்கள் சகோதரரிடத்திலே அப்படிப்பட்ட பாடுகள் நிறைவேறிவருகிறதென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே.

நீ உண்மையுடனும், நியாயத்தோடும், நீதியுடனும், கர்த்தருடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிடுவாய்; அந்நியமக்களும் அவருக்குள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டு, அவருக்குள் மேன்மைபாராட்டுவார்கள்.

நீ அவற்றைச் செய்தால், பிறகு நீ எனது நாமத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தி, வாக்குகொடுக்க வல்லமை பெறுவாய், ‘கர்த்தர் வாழ்கிறதுபோல’ என்று நீ சொல்லும் வல்லமை பெறுவாய். அந்த வார்த்தைகளை உண்மையோடும், நியாயத்தோடும், நீதியோடும், பயன்படுத்தும் வல்லமைபெறுவாய்: நீ இவற்றைச் செய்தால், பிறகு கர்த்தரால் தேசங்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும். அவர்கள் கர்த்தர் செய்திருக்கிறவற்றைப்பற்றி, மேன்மை பாரட்டுவார்கள்” என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
