ஆதலால் ஒரு அவயவம் பாடுபட்டால் எல்லா அவயவங்களும் கூடப் பாடுபடும்; ஒரு அவயவம் மகிமைப்பட்டால் எல்லா அவயவங்களும் கூடச் சந்தோஷப்படும்.

அப்பொழுது ராஜாவாகிய ரெகொபெயாம் தன்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய சாலொமோன் உயிரோடு இருக்கும்போது அவனுக்கு முன்பாக நின்ற முதியவர்களோடு ஆலோசனைசெய்து, இந்த மக்களுக்கு பதில் சொல்ல, நீங்கள் என்ன யோசனை சொல்லுகிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டான்.

சாலொமோன் உயிரோடு இருந்தபோது அவனுக்கு யோசனை சொல்வதற்காகச் சில முதியவர்கள் இருந்தனர். அவர்களிடம் ரெகொபெயாம் என்ன செய்வது என்று கேட்டான். ரெகொபெயாம், “இந்த ஜனங்களுக்கு நான் என்னபதில் சொல்ல வேண்டும்?” என்று கலந்து ஆலோசித்தான்.

அப்பொழுது அரசன் ரெகபெயாம் தன் தந்தை சாலமோன் உயிரோடிருக்கையில் அரசவையில் பணியாற்றிய முதியோரிடம் “இம் மக்களுக்கு என்ன மறுமொழி கூறலாம்? உங்கள் கருத்தென்ன?” என்று ஆலோசனை கேட்டான்.
