Isaiah 46:1
ବେଲ୍ ଓ ନବୋ ଆମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖ ରେ ଅବନତ ହବେେ। ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପ୍ରତିମାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଜନ୍ତୁ ଓ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କ ଉପ ରେ ଥୁଆ ହାଇେଛନ୍ତି। ସଗେୁଡ଼ିକ ବୋଝପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବହି ଚାଲିଲ, ତାହା କ୍ଲାନ୍ତ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କବଳେ ଭାର ହାଇେଅଛି।

ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଗଣ ମଧିଅରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରି ପ୍ରଚାର କର। ଧ୍ବଜା ଉଠାଇ ପ୍ରଚାର କର ଓ ଗୋପନ ନ ରଖି କୁହ, 'ବାବିଲ ହସ୍ତଗତ ହେଲା, ବଲେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେଲା ; ମରୋଦକ ବିସ୍ମିତ ହେଲା ; ତାହାର ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେଲେ ଓ ତାହାର ଦବେତା ସକଳ ବିସ୍ମିତ ହେଲେ।'

ଏଣୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଏପରି ଏକ ସମୟ ଆସୁଅଛି, ଯେତବେେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ଖୋଦିତ ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଦବୋ, ସେତବେେଳେ ଏହି ଦେଶର କ୍ଷତବିକ୍ଷତ ଲୋକମାନେ ୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ରେ ଗଁ ଗଁ କରିବେ।

ଆଉ ସେ ସମୟ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ଆସିବ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାବିଲର ଖାଦେିତ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣକୁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଦବୋ ଓ ସମଗ୍ର ବାବିଲ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହବେ। ଆଉ ତାହାର ନିହତ ଲୋକମାନେ ନଗରର ରାସ୍ତା ରେ ପତିତ ହବେେ।
ଯିରିମିୟ 48:1
ସୈନ୍ଯାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମାୟୋବ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଏହା କହନ୍ତି, ନବୋ ଧ୍ବଂସ ହବେ, କିରିଯାଥଯିମ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହବେ। ତାହା କବଳିତ ହବେ ଏବଂ ପର୍ବତଗଡ଼ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ଓ ଭଗ୍ନ ହବେ।
ଯିରିମିୟ 10:5
ସେସବୁ ତାଳଗଛ ତୁଲ୍ଯ, କୁନ୍ଦା ଓ କଥା କହନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ବହନ କରିବାକୁ ହୁଏ କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ଚାଲିପାରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସମାନେେ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ କରିପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ କିଅବା ମଙ୍ଗଳ କରିବାକୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ଶକ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।

ସମାନେେ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କଲେ ଓ ସାହସୀ ହବୋକୁ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କଲେ।

ସେତବେେଳେ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଥିବା ଓ ପୂଜା କରୁଥିବା ସୁନା ଓ ରୂପାର ପ୍ରତିମାଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଫିଙ୍ଗି ଦବେେ। ସମାନେେ ସହେି ପ୍ରତିମାଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ମୂଷିକ ଓ ବାଦୁଡ଼ିମାନଙ୍କର ଗହ୍ବର ଭିତର ରେ ଫିଙ୍ଗି ଦବେେ।

ତହିଁ ପରଦିନ ଅସ୍ଦୋଦର ଲୋକମାନେ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଉଠିଲେ ଏବଂ ଦେଖିଲେ, ଦାଗୋନ୍ର ମୂର୍ତ୍ତୀ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟକ ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖ ରେ ମକ୍ସ୍ଟହଁମାଡି ଭୂମିରେ ପଡିଅଛି। ଦାଗୋନ୍ର ଲୋକମାନେ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟନର୍ବାର ଉଠାଇ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ରଖିଲେ।

ଆଜି ରାତ୍ରି ରେ ମୁଁ ମିଶର ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ଯ ଦଇେ ୟିବି ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବି। ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ରେ ମିଶରର ସମସ୍ତ ଦବେତାମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାର କରିବି। ମୁଁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦଖାଇବେି ଯେ, ମୁଁ ହେଉଛି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ।
