19 And his daughter in law, Phinehas’ wife, was with child, near to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her.

20 And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it.

21 And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.

19 ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನ ಸೊಸೆಯಾದ ಫೀನೆಹಾಸನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೆರುವದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಳು. ಅವಳು ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವು ಶತ್ರುವಶವಾಯಿತೆಂಬ ವರ್ತ ಮಾನವನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಾವನೂ ಗಂಡನೂ ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದರೆಂಬದನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸವ ವೇದನೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ಅವಳು ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು.

20 ಅವಳು ಸಾಯುವ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು--ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂದು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

21 ಆದರೆ ಅವಳು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಡದೆ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವು ಶತ್ರುವಶ ವಾಯಿತೆಂದೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಾವನೂ ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನೂ ಸತ್ತುಹೋದದರಿಂದಲೂ ಮಹಿಮೆಯು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆ ಕೂಸಿಗೆ ಈಕಾಬೋದ್‌ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು.
