Hosea 7:1
યહોવા કહે છે, “હું જ્યારે ઇસ્રાએલનાં ઘા ને મટાડવા ઇચ્છતો હતો, ત્યારે સમરૂનનાં દુષ્ટ કૃત્યો પ્રગટ થયા અને એફ્રાઇમના પાપો ખુલ્લા થયા, કારણકે તેઓ દગો કરે છે, ઘરોમાં ઘૂસી જાય છે અને શેરીઓમાં લૂટ ચલાવે છે.

| they commit | פָעֲל֖וּ | pāʿălû | fa-uh-LOO |
| falsehood; | שָׁ֑קֶר | šāqer | SHA-ker |
| and the thief | וְגַנָּ֣ב | wĕgannāb | veh-ɡa-NAHV |
| in, cometh | יָב֔וֹא | yābôʾ | ya-VOH |
| and the troop | פָּשַׁ֥ט | pāšaṭ | pa-SHAHT |
| of robbers spoileth | גְּד֖וּד | gĕdûd | ɡeh-DOOD |
